Exhibitors Information Who is the Convention, Showcase & Expo Designed For? The Illinois Special Events Network Convention is designed for those responsible for the planning, management, operation and support of special events including, but not limited to, professional/volunteer event managers, governing board members and members of organizations that support this growing industry. Who Should Exhibit? Any vendor/business that provides a product or service for various festivals & events. Why Should You Exhibit? As a vendor, this is your chance to meet with over 100+ festival and event planners in just one afternoon. The exposition will provide you the opportunity to accomplish several weeks' work in just two hours. When and Where?
Vendor Expo Showcase Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center How Do I Register? To register for the expo, simply complete and return the attached registration form, vendor agreement, liability waiver and certificate of insurance to the Chicago Southland CVB with your payment. Entertainment Showcase There will be an Entertainment Showcase on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 4:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. In order to be considered as a Entertainment Showcase Act, you will need to submit an electronic press kit on Sonicbids. If you are a member of Sonicbids, go to www.sonicbids.com/isenconvention and click on the orange submit an EPK button. The fee to submit an electronic bid for this showcase is $25.00. If you are not a member of Sonicbids, you will need to create an electronic press kit. The fee will still be $25.00. You will receive a one month free membership. The deadline to submit an electronic bid is January 5th. A committee made up of ISEN board members will review the electronic press kits and select 8 acts to perform the night of the showcase. Those not chosen to perform will be allowed to pass out promotional materials at a table in the hallway during the showcase. You will be notified by January 15th if your act will perform or just be able to pass out promotional material. 
Vendor Expo Registration deadline is January 23, 2009. The cost to exhibit is $250 before January 23, 2009 and $300 after January 23, 2009. Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau and ISEN members receive a $25 discount. Sponsorship Opportunities The following sponsorship opportunities are available for the workshop. All sponsors will be listed in the convention binder, announced during the event and placed on additional signage the day of the event. Convention Binders $500 Includes the binder, tabs and all the pertinent convention information given to each festival/event planner in attendance. Sponsor of the convention binders will be allowed an 8-1/2 x 11 insert for the back cover of the binder. Expo Reception - Beverages $275 Includes assorted soft drinks, iced tea, bottled water and punch. Expo Reception - Food $850 Includes fresh vegetable tray with dip, fresh fruit tray, cheese and cracker tray and assorted hot appetizers. Expo - 250 Canvas tote bags $500 (with Bureau and ISEN?Logos) Showcase - Beverages $275 Includes assorted soft drinks, iced tea, bottled water and punch. Alcoholic beverages will be available on a cash bar basis. Showcase - Food $675 Includes assorted hot appetizers. Skyscraper Awards $600 If you are interested in sponsoring or co-sponsoring one of the opportunities mentioned, please fill out the Sponsorship portion of the registration form. Skyscraper Awards Luncheon $2100 Includes a plated lunch. Convention Registration You may register to attend the convention sessions. to: Chicago Southland CVB When Can I Setup? Entertainment showcase participants may prepare their table between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Exhibitors may set up between the hours of 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. This year there will be 8' x 10' booths with back drapes and draped side rails. Each booth will be furnished with a 6' draped table, two chairs and a vendor sign. The coloring of the draping will be black & ivory. Trailers are allowed. You may purchase multiple booths if you need more space. If you have any special requirements, please give Kim Kislowski a call at (708) 895-8200. You may give away samples of your products. We encourage all exhibitors to provide giveaways to participants (eg. services, money-off coupons, free banners, etc.). Each Showcase participant will be provided a table in the hallway to book business during the showcase. Job/Internship Opportunities Display Board We will be providing a place for companies to post job/intern opportunities and for individuals to post resumes. Please bring any relevant information for the Job/Intern Opportunities Display Board Best Booth Contest There will be a "best booth contest" this year to encourage exciting and fun exhibits. The planners in attendance will choose one booth that best captured their attention. The winner will receive a free exhibitor registration for 2010. |
