This ongoing program runs from Friday, Jan. 17, to Sunday, March 2. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays to Sundays. Visit the “Smokey Bear: The Rudy Wendelin Collection” on display in the nature center for inspiration then visit our Self-Expression Studio to select a Smokey line drawing to create your own masterpiece. Complete your piece using the materials available in the nature center or take a sheet home to transform and return. Each completed masterpiece will be added to our community showcase, and each artist will receive a small prize. Winners will be chosen for larger, Smokey Bear-themed prizes in three categories: ages 1 to 5, 6 to 12 and 13 to 18. Winners will be selected and notified by Thursday, March 6.
